• Attending the  ‘Dong Good Science' Seminar
• Attending the BeCogBio/CogCom Seminar, Journal Club
• Attending the DK /Lecture Series
• Attending the DK Retreat
• Writing a thesis research proposal, including timeline
• Establishing a Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC) and organize first meeting
• First TAC meeting + annual report (potentially)
• Giving the open presentation to the faculty (outline of the thesis)
• Signing the PhD contract

2nd PhD Phase (months 12-24): Consolidation

• Attending BeCogBio/CogCom Seminar, Journal Club
• Attending the seminars: Communication / Presentation / Scientific Writing
• Attending the DK Lecture Series
• Attending the DK Retreat
• Draft of 1st publication
• Organizing second TAC meeting
• Second TAC meeting + annual report
• Decision and organization of research stay abroad
• Lab-visit, if applicable (only in case of prolongation)

3rd PhD Phase (months 24-36): Finalization

• Organizing final TAC meeting
• Attending the Lecture series
• Attending the ‘Career Development Seminar’
• Attending the DK retreat
• Lab visit, if applicable (only in case of prolongation)
• Organizing a DK students conference
• Writing thesis
• Final presentation with data and conclusion
• Organizing the PhD defense
